Here at Allan Stobart Fuels, our fuel cards allow fuel to be drawn from an extensive network of UK fuel sites across the United Kingdom. New sites are constantly being added to the number of UK Fuels sites available, and you can access a full list of available fuel stations by downloading the E-Route app on iPhone or Android, or by visiting www.erouteonline.com.

FAQs

How do I apply?

To apply for fuel card/s please fill out this application pack and return it to our office at your earliest convenience. This can either be emailed over to adminoffice@allanstobart.co.uk, or it can be posted to our depot address: Allan Stobart Fuels, Low Currigg, Raughton Head, Carlisle, CA5 7DX. There is a small fee of £3.75 + VAT per fuel card when first applying and for any renewals and replacement cards.  

What if I forget my pin number?

We have PINs stored securely on our system; therefore, you can get in touch with us if you ever need a reminder. After answering some security questions, we can disclose the PIN to you or send a reminder out via email or post.

What if my card is lost or stolen?

If your card is lost or stolen, please notify our team as soon as possible. The card will then be cancelled, and a replacement card will be ordered for you. The card will be posted out to your invoice address, alongside a new PIN for security purposes.

Can I change my pin number?

No, the pin will remain the one assigned to the card for the duration of its use.

How do I renew a card that is due to expire?

If we can see that your fuel card has been used within the last six months, we will automatically renew this for you. If it has been over six months since the last transaction, then we will get in touch with you a month before the expiry date to check if you would like it renewed. If not, then we will allow the card to expire, and if you choose to renew the card then we will order you a new one and post it out to your invoice address. PINs for renewed cards remain the same.

Can I amend my credit limit?

Each card will come with default limits when first ordered. These limits can be altered on request to accommodate your business needs, providing financial obligations are met. When ordering your fuel card, please inform our team of your requirements so we can carry out the necessary checks and look to accommodate your needs. 

Is a credit check required when applying? 

Yes. Each new fuel card applicant will need to have a credit check performed to ensure that the ongoing financial obligations are met. We will also require you to go onto a direct debit, which will automatically take the funds for your fuel card invoice 30 days after the invoice is generated.

Can I pay by Direct Debit? 

To be successful with your fuel card application, setting up a Direct Debit is mandatory. This means you will a singular VAT invoice and a single direct debit payment making your records easily accessible for the HMRC. 

Where can I use my fuel cards? 

There are over 4,000 sites across the UK and by using the E-Route facility you can find fuel stations convenient to your location. E-Route can be used on your desktop, but can also be used via the smartphone app. You can access this by visiting www.erouteonline.com.

How long will it take to receive my card? 

Once you have passed all credit checks and your card(s) are ordered, your card(s) will be sent to us to finalise set-up on our system. Your card(s) will then be posted out to your invoice address, your pin will be sent first, following with your card for security purposes. The whole process should take around 7-10 working days from the date of ordering. 

How often will I get invoiced and how do I know what the prices will be? 

Fuel card transactions will be collated into one monthly invoice for your convenience, and fuel card prices are based on a monthly average.

How do I pay for my fuel card invoice? 

To be successful with your fuel card application, setting up a direct debit is mandatory. The direct debit payment will be taken 30 days after your fuel card invoice has been generated and set out to you.
